I once knew a man.
he prayed to God everyday,
asking for wisdom, asking for forgiveness.
he also prayed hard for a special someone to walk into his life.
for 25 years he prayed day and night.. night and day..
and still there was no answer from God.
"The bible said it would be either wait yes or no, not no reply!"
he screamed. his heart went out with a bang and he turned against God.
He went round the city terrorising people, spreading the word of evil, instead of good.
he did everything in his power to tell God how much anger he as.
One day, he was caught by the police and sentenced to 25 years in jail.
everyday in jail, he cursed and sweared.
everyday in jail, he taught his inmates how awful his God was.
he told them on how he lied in the bible and how he never got that reply
he did that everyday until one day, a lady stepped into his cell, and preached to him
it was then that his eyes were reopened.
it was then that his heart was renewed
it was then that the plaque called sin was washed away
and God was able to speak to him again
He said, " my child, i gave you the reply. i belted it out at the tops of my lungs
i wanted you to hear my voice so bad but before your ear could have heard me
the earmuffs of sin came in. i screamed to you, i wanted to save you, my voice was there,
it was beside your ear but you couldn't hear me. my child you say i shattered your heart into a million when I broke my promise to you.
Can you imagine how many times more my heart was broken when i kept my promise but you said i didn't?
Can you imagine how many times more my heart was broken when you lied about my, your Lord God.
Can you imagine how many times more my heart was broken when I had to punish my own child and watch him suffer.
Can you imagine how many times more my heart was broken when i reached out to you but you weren't there.
Can you imagine how many times more my heart was broken when i screamed to you but you never heard my voice. My child, I love you."
It was then that the man was healed.
It was then that his prayer, 50 years ago, was fulfilled.
It was then, that he was truly born again.
